West Wirral Scout District delivers #SkillsForLife to hundreds of young people in groups based in Greasby, Heswall, Hoylake, Moreton, Meols, Barnston, Newton, Upton, West Kirby and Thurstaston. Our young people and adult volunteers get the opportunity to enjoy new adventures; gain experience of the outdoors, interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential,

District Lead Volunteer
Andy Longstaff
Andy is responsible for the overall operation of West Wirral District with the support of his Leadership Team. He ensures the district runs effectively, providing support to our members and developing scouting locally in accordance to rules and policies from The Scout Association.
District Chair
Andrew Cain
Andrew chairs the Trustee Board which supports the District Lead Volunteer. The District Trustee Board shapes our decisions, approves our strategy and monitors our performance. It is the role of the exec to ensure good governance and that the district has the resources it needs to operate.
District President
Roy Kenyon
Roy attends many of our District events both internal and public facing, promoting the perception of Scouts in the wider community and helping connect West Wirral to other Scouting and external organisations.
Leadership Team
Responsible for day to day oversight of the district. leading, inspiring and motivating volunteers.
Board of Trustees
Focussing on Governance, the Trustee Board shapes and approves the strategy of the district and monitors our performance against that strategy.
Programme Team
This team provides support to sections for anything programme related and organises activities for young people.
Volunteer Development Team
This team look after our volunteer experience which includes Welcome, Induction and Learning.
Support Team
This team look after Safety, Safeguarding, Complaints, Data Compliance, Digital Services and Communications
14 – 24 Team
This team run and maintain our Explorer unit and Young Leader Training.
